A third-generation Colorado native, and the proud mother of an incredible adult son who remains her greatest fan and supporter.

Art has been a constant and vital presence throughout Rustie's life — a source of calm, empowerment and self-expression through the most challenging seasons. The work reflects lived experience, imagination and a deeply personal perspective on beauty and the passage of time.

How Artisan Collective Designs came to be

  • Comfort across the distance

    During the pandemic, that creative energy went into quilts for family, friends, neighbors and colleagues — handmade comfort sent across the distance, new arrivals celebrated, pieces donated to causes that mattered.

  • Art, full-time

    After a fulfilling career in the medical industry, Rustie made the bold decision to pursue her passion for art full-time — the making no longer squeezed into the edges of a week.

  • A room for other artists

    Knowing firsthand what it takes to build an online presence, Rustie made this platform with a broader vision: to open it to fellow artists who don't yet have a space of their own.

Rustie believes artists have a unique and powerful role in shaping communities — sparking critical thought, driving activism and building connections across urgent social issues.

So a quilt isn't only a quilt. It's warmth sent to someone, a cause supported, a thing made by hand in a world that mostly doesn't bother. Use it, wash it, hand it on.
